My GT6 Garage 2: 2004 Chrysler Crossfire

The next featured car from My GT6 Garage is the 2004 Chrysler Crossfire.

Bought it because it is already on the blog - Chrysler Crossfire - well spotted.

Also bought it because it is an FR car and I needed an FR car anyway to beat the FR challenge in the National B series. Which I did.

The rear wing/spoiler thing is clearly deployed (even if it doesn't do anything).

No respectte for Corvette!

My GT6 Garage

I am having another intermission on this blog, that is, I am going to post something that is not carspotting per se... but still related to it.

The reason is I have started playing Gran Turismo 6, and only about 2 years after it came out. I also have a GT1 copy for PS1 (and it too), GT4 of PS2 and the much maligned GT5 on PS3.

Anyway I am going to post cars that I will acquire (buy or win) in the game. I bought the game about a couple weeks ago (with a discount) and it's version 1.00 by the way, I believe there is a shortcut in some race somewhere.

Of course, I won't be able to post all cars in the game - there are over 1,000. I won't even be able to post all the cars that I'll have in my in-game garage - there still could be too many of those.

So only "selected" cars will be posted, and by "selected" I mean nothing like exotics or super cars but (i) cars that I spotted in real life and have recorded on this blog and (ii) cars that I like for some reason and could realistically drive in everyday humdrum life -- mostly "daily drivers", "run of the mill" kind of cars. There aren't many of those in GT6 but there are some.

The first car I got was the Honda Fit RS '10 (sold as the Honda Jazz outside of North America) but this choice was forced by the game so no pictures of this one, and I am not much into Hondas, truth to tell.

The second car I got for winning the Novice series and the car is the Renault Clio R.S. 2011.

Next, Toyota Bb 1.5Z X Version 2000. The first car I bought spending my (not so) hard earned Cr. 15,000 on it. Even won a couple races with it. Although it is not the most obvious car to get if you want to win races.

Reason I bought it is because it is already on the blog: Toyota bB

As you can see I am hoping to use the GT6 photo feature to illustrate some of the posts on this blog. Sort of provide another set of pictures to accompany my real-life car spots.

Chrysler Crossfire

Spotted on multiple occasions in the month of May in the year 2015 was this Chrysler Crossfire.

 The Chrysler Crossfire is...

...a rear-wheel drive, 2-door sports car marketed by Chrysler as both coupé and roadster and was built for Chrysler by Karmann of Germany for model years 2004-2008.

So, it's basically a R170 Mercedes-Benz SLK320 re-tuned by Chrysler engineers and with an American style body by Chrysler designers and looks nothing like the Mercedes-Benz SLK320 - a huge WIN as I find most modern Mercedes-Benz cars ugly, especially their over-sized three-legged Mercedes swastika star logo.

A couple of weeks later, same car which I see on my daily commute.

Chrysler Crossfires were officially imported and sold in Russia through Chrysler affiliated dealers (not many left now). But there is still a Chrysler Russia website with only car on offer being the Grand Voyager.

More on the Chrysler Crossfire on the Allpar site.

Nice rear end.
