OKA VAZ-1111

Seen last year was this Oka VAZ-111 car and photographed with a dodgy cellphone.

VAZ-1111 Oka (Russian: Ока ВАЗ (СеАЗ, КамАЗ)-1111) is a city car designed in Russia in 1988 by AvtoVAZ featuring a 750 cc (46 cu in) SOHC two-cylinder engine.

It's not too clean at the time of shooting but obviously a loved and well cared for specimen, with minor after-market improvement ("tuning").

Through the passenger window.

The white things on the hood appear to be decal bullet holes.

One of my favorite cars, even though I didn't have it, but my mother did.

Oka, little bucket edition.

Here are some former press photos of the Oka.

And these three photos below show Oka's last facelift as produced by SeAZ (Serpukhov Auto Plant) circa 2004-5.

By that time it had acquired a China-sourced engine (itself based on some Toyota motor).

And a test drive in Russian of the last restyled Oka model.

Oka SeAZ Cargo.

Also, easy to do DIY repairs...
