Lada 111 in Traffic x 2

Last year I spotted in traffic this Lada 111, aka Lada 2111, aka VAZ-2111.

Not a frequent site in Moscow anymore.

... the hindquarters of a Lada 111.

The Lada 111 or VAZ-2111 is AvtoVAZ's front wheel drive car with a station wagon bodystyle (modification of Lada 110). It was manufactured from 1998 to 2009. The vehicle is still manufactured in the Ukraine by Bogdan, marketed as the "Bogdan 2111", with only minor alterations

Fancy paintwork on the theme of lightning or electric current, etc.

Much enhanced by "rust coloration". It is missing its center taillight panel.

And here's another one spotted this year.

 

The view from behind may be the best angle to see this car as it does look a bit uncouth. 

However, it grows on your after a while.

But it's main selling point was and is the huge (for a small car) cargo volume that it could carry with the fifth door that opens very high for easy access to the trunk. 

 It least they look unusual unlike any other car really.

The trunk is huge.
