This has got to be the 7th Volga GAZ-21 and the 5th "Third Series" Volga GAZ-21 on blog.
On the right is a Volga GAZ-31105 and on the left is a Lada VAZ-2115 sedan.
The distinguishing characteristics of a Third Series Volga GAZ-21 is a baleen grille and no deer figurine on the hood, while the "Second Series" had a shark (maw) grille and a deer figurine and the "First Series" had a star grille.
It all has been mentioned on this blog already in my previous Volga posts but hey repetition is the mother of learning as they say somewhere.
Some notable idiot car collector once called them "butt-ugly" but they look right to me, beautiful even.
